Tenants Network (North/Mid) - A focus on Tenant Voice in Rent Setting

Are you a tenant of a social landlord in north/mid Wales? 

If you are, you’re invited to an informal, friendly and free! face-to-face event to hear the latest news in social housing and Tenant Voice and to meet other tenants to share ideas and learn from others.

Social landlords in Wales can set rents using different models and approaches but they must do so within the rent policy set by Welsh Government (WG)

So, what should be included in a rent policy set by WG and what should landlords consider when setting rents? What is important to you? Is it affordability? Value for money? Consultation with tenants? Property running costs?

Overall thoughts from the session will be shared with Welsh Government officials to help ensure Tenant Voices shape their future Rent Setting policy.

• To help manage numbers and to ensure a mix of tenant from different landlords can attend, we are initially inviting up to 4 tenant representatives from each Landlord to attend this face-to-face Network. 
• As numbers are limited, please check with your landlord in case there are other tenants who want to come to this network.
• If you intend to claim travel expenses from your landlord to attend, do check with your landlord before booking.

This is a chance to share Tenant voices, hear what other Tenants are doing across north Wales and to influence Welsh Government policy.
