Eve Exley - First Choice Housing Association
Hear how First Choice Housing Association have succeeded in finding a way for tenants with a learning disability to have ‘a voice in the board room’. FCHA’ s Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, Eve, will be talking about how they have set up their new Tenant Advisory Group. Although it is early days, Eve will discuss how the tenant-led group has been so far and what their ambitions are for the future.
Charter of Rights
Thea Raisbeck Head of Research and Best Practice at Spring Housing and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and Eydritt Joensen, Assistant Head of Housing at Spring Housing and Best Practice Lead for a customer Charter of Rights for people living in shared supported accommodation in Birmingham, will discuss the ‘Charter of Rights’ – a nationally-recognised project that was co-produced with residents of supported housing. Thea and Eydritt will discuss how and why the Charter was created, their experiences of involving supported housing residents, and how the Charter has since been embedded within a range of supported housing environments.
Who should attend? Any staff who work within supported housing.
