Special Tenants Network

Wednesday 20th November 10.30 – 12pm

Join us for this special TPAS Cymru Tenants Network in partnership with Tai Pawb, where you’ll have an opportunity to have an update from Welsh Government officials about a standardized pattern book for the next generation of high-performing, timber based off-site manufactured affordable homes.

During the session you’ll have an opportunity to see House Designs and discuss opportunities to be involved in the way the pattern book is used. In particular getting tenant input into the evaluation of the first phase of new homes that will be built using the pattern book. We want to set up a group to see how we can best do this.

The speakers will be:
  • Steve Cranston, Delivering Net Zero Project Lead - Welsh Government
  • Milly Warner, ESG Research Consultant - Stride Treglown
  • Rob Wheaton, Associate Director Architect - Stride Treglown
Who should attend?

Tenants with an interest in ensuring new affordable homes work well for residents, communities and planet. We are particularly keen to talk with tenants of the 23 landlords in the project (see below), but all tenants are welcome!

  • 11 Welsh councils who have retained their council housing - Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Swansea, Vale of Glamorgan, Wrexham, and Ynys Môn (Isle of Anglesey)
  • 12 housing associations - Caredig, Cartrefi Conwy, Clwyd Alyn, Coastal, Merthyr Valley Homes, Monmouthshire Housing Association, North Wales Housing Association, Rhondda Housing Association Tai Tarian, Trivallis, United Welsh and Valleys to Coast.
