Rent Setting – involving tenants

Affordability for tenants is key to the Welsh Government’s Rent and Service Charge Standard and requires social landlords to evidence that effective tenant engagement and consultation is at the centre of the decision-making process for setting rents.

Join us for this new workshop session where we will explore options and ideas to help your organisation examine what aspects of rent setting tenants should be involved with.  The session will enable you to identify the scope and parameters of your engagement and consultation plans to ensure tenants are involved in shaping and influencing rent setting discussions and decisions.

Please note – this session will focus on rents and not service charges. 

Who’s the session for – this webinar session is open to all staff, board members, Local Authority Members and tenants.  It will be particularly beneficial for staff with responsibility for related areas such as rents, finance, tenant engagement.

Cost per person (not group)

• Staff/Board (members organisations): £39+VAT
• Staff/Board (non-member organisations): £69+VAT
• Tenants: Free

• The session will not be recorded
• The delegate rate is for one person not a group booking – a charge will be made for each attendee: each attendee needs to register individually.

• All cancellations for paid events must be made by email to [email protected]  If you cancel your place less than 2 working days before the online event you will incur the full cost.
• If you are unable to attend, you can send a substitute delegate at no extra cost.  All substitute delegates must be notified to [email protected]
• If you fail to attend a paid, online sessions, you will be charged the full cost of attendance.
• Once we have received your cancellation, we will forward you a confirmation of your cancellation.
• For our paid events please note, one paid registration may only be used by one person, and the sharing of joining links /screens is prohibited. Therefore, each person attending this event must have a separate registration.
