Regulation of Housing Associations in Wales Update: New standards for Tenant Engagement

Thursday, 20th January 2022: 10:30am – 12noon (Zoom Webinar)

Housing Association regulation in Wales is changing following a recent review of the ‘Regulatory Framework’. Changes include the introduction of a new set of ‘Regulatory Standards’ which HA’s will need to meet.

These new ‘Regulatory Standards’ also include clear standards around Tenant Engagement and what is expected of Housing Associations in terms of hearing the tenants voice.

At this webinar we’ll be joined by Ian Walters, Head of Regulation Strategy and Policy at the Welsh Government, who will provide an overview of these changes, with a focus on what these mean for tenant engagement.

During the webinar we’ll cover the following:

  • Background to the review of the regulatory Framework for HA's in Wales
  • Overview of the key changes – including new ‘Regulatory Statuses’ and ‘Regulatory Standards’.
  • How HA’s will need to demonstrate they are meeting Tenant Engagement related ‘Regulatory Standards’.
Who should attend?
