Friday 27th November: 10:00am-11:00am
An interactive session with Wales’s first Library of Things
A free session with Ella Smillie – Director and co-founder of Benthyg - Borrow Don't Buy (http://www.benthyg.org) Wales’s first (and so far only) Library of Things. Ella will tell the story of Benthyg in Cardiff and answer your questions about how it works.
A Library of Things hold those items like e.g. power drills, tents, musical instruments, lawnmowers etc which are expensive but used infrequently so that people can borrow at low prices as required. This supports poverty reduction and in turn reduces waste and contributes to a more circular economy.
Benthyg has started the revolution in Wales and this is your chance to learn more and discuss with the co-founder. We want you to be inspired to take action in your community. This type of community service is active across the world and makes a real difference to the communities it serves.
This session is free for TPAS Cymru members and any community organisations that our members directly support.
