An online workshop presented by TPAS Cymru and Tai Pawb

Homes fit for purpose – embedding accessibility and tenant engagement

26th October 10 – 12.30pm

This seminar organised by Tai Pawb and TPAS Cymru will look at good practice examples of how to ensure that homes provided by social housing providers meet the accessibility needs of tenants.  It will offer an opportunity to hear about ‘real-life’ examples of how to ensure tenant involvement is at the heart of providing homes fit for purpose.

  • Paul Clasby Chair of the Barcud Monitoring Group will use his wide experience of disability issues to talk about what good tenant participation looks like
  • We’ll hear from a local authority representative on new Welsh Government requirements to identify existing and future population ‘need’ – and how that can bring about positive change for disabled people
  • We’ll be joined by Jillian Wadley, a long-standing and committed advocate of inclusive tenant engagement. Jill brings her own lived experience to the table as well as her work with a number of social landlords in advocating for homes that are fit for purpose
Who should attend?

This seminar is primarily for senior managers, board members and staff dealing with adaptations and accessible housing but tenants are also very welcome!
