Inclusive Engagement - getting it right in a new world

Tuesday 26^th and Thursday 28^th September: 10am – 12.30pm

The world has changed during the last 3 years and so has the way we engage. Without meaning to, we often put-up barriers that stop people from taking part in the events we design to include them!

These 2 x half day training sessions will focus on what we can do as individuals and organisations to avoid building barriers and to make it easier for people we want to engage with to get involved.

This course is split over two mornings:

Session 1:  We will look at the theory around inclusive engagement.

• Explore involvement and engagement benefits
• Identify barriers to engaging with ‘need to reach’ groups.
• Recognise how to avoid or remove barriers to involvement and engagement

Session 2: Putting the theory into practice

• Design opportunities for inclusive involvement/engagement
• Practice some different approaches to reviewing activities
• Take away some good practice learning

This course has been developed as a partnership between Tai Pawb and TPAS Cymru using the shared expertise of both organisations. The course is designed to reflect good practice and will be delivered by experienced trainers from both organisations.

Cost to attend both sessions:

£65 + VAT for members of TPAS Cymru / Tai Pawb;   £90+VAT for non-members

• All cancellations for paid events must be made by email to [email protected]  If you cancel your place less than 2 working days before the online event you will incur the full cost.
• If you are unable to attend, you can send a substitute delegate at no extra cost.  All substitute delegates must be notified to [email protected]
• If you fail to attend a paid, online sessions, you will be charged the full cost of attendance.
• Once we have received your cancellation, we will forward you a confirmation of your cancellation.
• For our paid events please note, one paid registration may only be used by one person, and the sharing of joining links /screens is prohibited. Therefore, each person attending this event must have a separate registration.

We aim to make sure that all online events run as planned. However, there may be times when, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to cancel an event. Should this be the case we will give you as much notice as possible. If you have already paid for the cancelled event we will give you a full refund. Should we run the event again, we will give you priority
