Thursday, 23 November: 11am – 12.30pm
Is the Welsh housing sector building homes that are needed by tenants and residents living with disabilities? Are these homes desirable to tenants and residents living with disabilities?
Join us at our next online Disability Network and share your thoughts.
Building the right homes to meet demand is vital given the current housing need in Wales, but how can the housing sector make sure it builds homes that are desirable and meet the needs of people living with disabilities and their carers?
-
What is important to tenants about a home?
-
What property types are actually needed/desired by current and future tenants living with disabilities?
-
Should communities be involved in an assessment of what homes are built?
TPAS Cymru is working with Shelter Cymru https://sheltercymru.org.uk/ to look at these questions as part of research to be shared across Wales. We’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this important matter.
Who’s the session for?
Tenants and staff who have knowledge of, or an interest in issues affecting people living with disabilities.
