Friday, 23rd April: 10.00 – 11.30
A FREE session for members with Ella Smillie – Director and co-founder of Benthyg Cymru who will introduce you to the benefits of a Library of Things and how every community in Wales would benefit. Ella will tell the story of Benthyg in Cardiff, and exciting new projects in other parts of Wales. She will also answer your questions about how it works and update us on plans for more of these vital services across Wales.
A Library of Things hold those items like power drills, tents, musical instruments, lawnmowers etc which are expensive, but used infrequently so that people can borrow at low prices as required. This supports poverty reduction and in turn reduces waste and contributes to a more circular economy.
Benthyg Cymru has started the revolution in Wales and this is your chance to learn more and discuss with the co-founder. We want you to be inspired to take action in your community. This type of community service is active across the world and makes a real difference to the communities it serves.
This session is free for TPAS Cymru members and community organisations that our members support.
