At TPAS Cymru we work closely with the Welsh Government to ensure that tenants’ voices are heard, considered and help shape housing policy and practice in Wales.

Right now, the Welsh Government is consulting on Securing a path towards Adequate Housing, Fair Rents and Affordability through a White Paper:

To support evidence gathering as part of this consultation, the Welsh Government are we are holding a series of workshops to seek your views. This includes an event for private renters on Thursday 16th January 2025. This event will be held in Cardiff for private renters.

We are looking for views on the short to medium term interventions proposed in the ‘Fair Rents’ section of the White Paper, which looks at improving the affordability, habitability and accessibility of the Private Rented Sector. These proposals are a key component of our commitment to delivering housing adequacy.

To support this evidence gathering, we are looking to gather views private rented sector tenants.
