We are pleased to launch our 3rd annual survey on Rent and Service Charges, to hear the tenant voice in Wales on this important topic.

Are you a Social Housing tenant?  Do you rent from the Council (Local Authority) or a Housing Association?

We are pleased to launch our 3rd annual survey on Rent and Service Charges, to hear the tenant voice in Wales on this important topic.

Our Tenant Pulse surveys on this topic have led to real change. In 2022 and 2023, TPAS Cymru presented your views in this report to senior civil servants, including the Minister (now the Cabinet Secretary for Housing).

Your voices are needed now more than ever. In May, the Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Julie James MS announced that she is extending the current policy on rent and service charge standard for another year, until March 2026. (Inside Housing - News - Welsh social landlords able to set their own rent increases for 2025-26)

This means that later this year, decisions will start to be made for 2026 and beyond, and we want to ensure that the tenant voice is heard in this consideration.

The Welsh Government wants to hear your voice, they said: "The TPAS Cymru Tenant Pulse survey on tenants’ views of rent and service charges is now live. The survey results play an important part in informing our work on developing a new social rent policy for Wales.

We need your voice right now to make sure that you are represented in this decision. Your voices on this issue will be heard by the Minister herself.

The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete, and you can opt in to a free prize draw to win delicious Welsh food prizes.
