We're looking for an enthusiastic person to join us for this special role
Who are we?
TPAS Cymru is a not-for-profit organisation, part funded by Welsh Government. For 35 years, we have done great work all across Wales in developing effective tenant engagement and tenant voice in housing through training, support, practical projects and policy development. We love what we do, and we are proud of our work.
Background to this role
Across Wales, there are 222,000 social housing households (Council and Housing Associations) and 230,000 private renters. Many are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis inc. energy bills. Welsh Government and Social Landlords have ambitious plans to make housing more energy efficient, lower carbon emissions and cheaper to run.
At TPAS Cymru, we want the voice and experiences of tenants to be at the heart of those plans and heard in decision making.
This is where this important role fits in: Net Zero Engagement Officer
As an Engagement Officer (part of an experienced and supportive delivery team), you will lead and deliver on the tenant & resident experience of a net zero/affordable warmth agenda within the housing sector in Wales. The focus is on the user, the people living in their homes, their experiences & how landlords & Welsh Government engage with them. We want to identify best practices and ensure that everyone benefits from this decarbonisation agenda. You will run information events, focus groups, make social media content, create case studies and influence landlords and Government. You do not have to be a technical expert, but have a strong commitment to tenant voices being heard.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 5 days/35 hours per week
Salary: £34,000
Location: Hybrid working based at our Cardiff office with some travel.
We have a very good holiday allowance, and 5% pension contribution, and we do our best to accommodate flexibility into work practices.
