How Housing Associations have been affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic

The Welsh Government’s Housing Regulation Team have been carrying out business continuity surveys of all registered social landlords. (RSLs).

As well as providing a level of regulatory assurance, the survey continues to provide valuable insight into how the sector is dealing with the significant challenges posed by Covid-19 and feeds into policy considerations.

The reports cover a range of important themes including:

  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Maintenance
  • Staffing
  • Rent Arrears
  • Financial Resilience

A summary publication of findings from the monthly survey are produced. This is the fourth publication from information gathered in December 2020.

The data used in the reports is based on management information provided by RSLs and has been subject to limited quality assurance. Unless otherwise indicated, all comparisons are to the September survey.
