Roundtable: Communal WiFi & Digital Inclusion?

Are you considering Wifi or 4G? Do you offer it now? Join our Zoom round table to discuss further and share learnings

Are you considering Communal Wi-Fi in social housing

Background – The recent use of TPAS’s ‘Member Request Service' by a Cardiff landlord generated a lot of discussion and in response TPAS Cymru has created a online event.

The member asked about: Communal wifi in resident blocks / 50+ schemes? How did they go about it?
Is this something catered for during the initial development, or has it been a consultation per block? I’m really interested in shared learning’

Whilst 2 landlords offering their advice, a number of staff from other organisations came forward as there were keen to learn more about how communal wifi schemes could work.

TPAS Cymru have arranged a Zoom RoundTable for people to discuss further and share learnings.  This is not a technical session and open to all who want to learn more about communal wifi as part of digital inclusion agenda.

To start the discussion, weve asked Emma Brute from United Welsh to talk about her experiences of implementing WiFi solutions. I also hoping to have have a technical guest; Paul from Wifi Wales, a Wi-Fi /4G communal scheme provider based in north Wales to assist us with questions like:  Can or will 4G/5G hubs replace home broadband/Wifi and reduce costs?

This event is free to TPAS Cymru members
