I've been a social housing tenant for 40 years with 29 of those being with Powys County Council.

I have been a tenant rep for 16 years, and for the last 5 years, have been chair of our tenant scrutiny panel.

I'm a great believer that a happy tenant is one that knows who, what and why, and I hope I'm in some way achieving this objective.

I support full engagement with tenants, whether the news is good or bad. My philosophy has always been that tenants don't leave their brains behind when they sign a tenancy agreement. There is a vast pool of untapped knowledge in social tenants, and I hope that this can be accessed and utilised in the near future to the benefit of both the tenants and our landlords.
